Our Story

Hi and welcome! We are the Voelkers - Josh, Summer, and Willa. Josh and I grew up on opposite ends of the same road. We certainly never imagined ending up back there as adults, but as luck would have it in 2018 we bought an old farmhouse on an acre of flat(!) land on that very road. We knew we wanted to be closer to family in Washington County and raise Willa near nature - it’s amazing how things just worked out. As a family we love to hike, camp, play in the creek, watch movies, and have bonfires. When Willa started Kindergarten in 2020, I decided to take my passion for gardening and turn it into a business. We are fortunate that both sides of our family are avid gardeners so settling on the name Kindred just felt right. We grow on 1/4 acre of land so things are tight, but we make it work.

In 2023, we hope to add a greenhouse and some raised beds. It is exciting being able to expand a bit.
